( Practicing Pen Tool in Photoshop ) There are some straight edges where it's supposed to curve, but the anti-aliasing with image reduction rounds off the curves quite nicely, so they're barely noticeable. It takes patience drawing with this tool. >_<; Don't think it's turning out too bad, what do you guys think?

Well I just recieved word that Shriver, a Job Corps center in Boston... is no longer offering full advanced training for computer repair anymore, and rumor is that it's because of Golconda. I don't know the details but all I know is that a lot of people in my trade, as well as my instructor, are highly pissed. I actually considered going there for some better paying opportunities, but I guess that's outta the question now. A lot of my friends in trade are thinking of dropping out of the program and heading home after Christmas break (December 17th), about four or five of them, actually. I'm gonna stay and complete trade, though. Things are looking up for me. I just got enrolled into my Advanced Employability Skills classes. They last for one month, but I only go for one Monday a week. After I pass this class, I will officially be in my career transition phase.
My last 60-90 days on center. Man, I thought that time would never come. My CTP specialist is going to help me find a good college and assist me in filing for financial aid. Looks like I'll be going to college after all, folks, and maybe not as late as I thought. =3

I love this song! It's a complete revamp of Green Grove 1 from Sonic 3D Blast! X3 Oh wait... here's a nifty meme I swipped like Swipper from
Difficult
Your life has been 45% difficult. |
Based on your family, money, political context, and personal situation -- during the important years of your development -- it appears your life was DIFFICULT. What does this mean?
Well, the "difficulty" of your life is a measure of how rough you had it. Relative to the world, you had a very, very difficult childhood. I'm not sure what "success" means to you, but whatever it is, you can achieve it. When you do, it'll be that much more impressive.

The rules of the meme is to pick 16 films that you thuroughly enjoy. Paste one screenshot of each film in the journal. Have your friends guess at what which film each screen shot comes from. The person with the most correct guesses wins. Had to do it, y'know? ;[

I went into Gmail this morning to find an email from a MIDI fan. In case you've been living under a rock for the past 4 years, I make videogame MIDIs from a lot of 'old skool' games from NES, Genesis, and SNES... sometimes PSX and anything I fancy. Well... needless to say I've hit a chord with someone out there...
Hi, uh... I don't know if anyone's told you this like this before, but you, my friend, 0wn in every possible way. Your Midis are ELITE, even better than MP3s! I sincerely mean that! You have Wolfgang's Ear, able to choose the PERFECT instruments for each track and blend them together ever so gently to make not just music, but new realities within me. I have 172 of your Midis on my hard-drive, and I listen to them as I work on my own projects because the pictures they paint give me inspiration and vigor. A long time ago, when I heard your Ristar works, I was all like, "Can he even get any better?" THEN you released Music Plant Act 1 for Sonic Advance 2, and I nearly cried in joy. That one right there is my all-time favorite of all your works. You're AWESOME beyond awesomeness, and if I don't tell you that, I don't know who will. Please, I beg you, never give up on Midis! They are your passion, and they are what give me my own passion. You could even say we're a team in that vague aspect. I respect you, I salute you, I believe in you. Stay awesome forever, pal. Your intense fan.
Wow... I had no idea I impacted people's lives so much. o_o And here I was wondering if anyone really appreciated what I did at all. It's little things like this that assure me how much I love being an artist. ._.;

You have a total of 35 friends You requested to guess 35 entries. 3 was skipped due to invalid content (surprising?). You made 32 guesses. You got 30 correct. Doing the math for you, that means you got 93% correct.
Wow... who were those three with such dirty thoughts? ;[

Well... a surprise meeting with my instructor this morning revealed to me my vocational status in my trade. She's telling me... that I'm doing excepionally well... a lot better than a few of the students that are in this class who got in here before me. o_o;; She wants me to do more hands-on WBL (work-based learning) around the center, like fixing other instructor's PCs, taking PC parts from in here and making some kinda Frankenstein PC with different parts, whatever. She saw how I handled a recent PC that came in here. The OS was not being detected at all after a slight run-in what was later found to be a virus. So... the first thing I did was try a Windows 2000 boot disk. That was a no go, so I shut 'er down, popped off her casing and took a peak inside.
It was weird... I didn't think at all... I just acted, but somehow I knew exactly what to do and what to look for. Spotting the hard drive, I yanked of the Molex and ribbon cable (not literally, of course, heh), and just... hooked it back together to make sure it was tightly fastened in. Closed the case back up, started the machine up, and after a few AutoDetect memos for the CMOS, it rebooted... then started up normally. It was working again. *-* I fixed a random stranger's machine, and it only took me 15 minutes.
Wow... maybe I'm better at computers than I thought. >_>; I'm hoping to have a completion percentage from my instructor by the end of the week. Heheheh, I'm so excited. :B I so wanna go home and open my machine, and upgrade it to ridiculously insane proportions. That is if my motherboard can take it. ;[

Feeling homesick again. Been at JC for a little over 5 months now, and I'm starting to greatly miss my home and my family. Since my internet's being taken from me, I can't talk to Emmy anymore. Got my driver's liscence, so now all I have to do is finish trade and look for a jorb close to home. People are spreading rumors about me that I don't bathe and it's even reached the head office. They've complained to me and such. I've been loosing my temper and patience a lot lately... and it's turned me into some kinda fearless, hardened freak of nature. And now I'm ready to set this center on fire.
EDIT Err... guys, ignore that post... was just venting... I think I'm okay now. Well, still homesick, but... ehh, you get it. ;[

Once again... Nintendo brings with its new console, a new method of controller technology. With the NES, they gave us the D-pad. The SNES gave us the shoulder buttons, which evolved into the trigger button. The N64 gave us the thumbstick that detects pressure. The Gamecube was the first home videogame console to utilize the Mini-disc standard to store its digital media.
And now... the Revolution brings us... gyroscopic, 3D motion detection.
Revolution Controller article Video showing how it could work.
Still in stages of production, but this is what I think to be the greatest technological advance in videogane controlling to date. Nintendo wins again with yet another advance in gaming technology.
